A little more about me..
I used to be a Carpenter – then a Theatre Designer – then a Party Princess! – now I am a maker and blogger – and I have fully enjoyed all of it! The whole journey!
Along the way I married an Englishman and had three gorgeous children – but that’s another story – let’s stick to the important bits! – the Creativity!
an eco friendly kids crafts blog..
The awesome childhood project started life as my personal parenting tool for my young son, and gradually developed into the nature inspired family blog it is today. This was some years ago – and a lot of amazing stuff has happened along the way!
My son is now turning ten. He is not always part of my creative projects anymore. But I still get really excited when he does want to join in!
Currently I’m planning his 10th Birthday. A Boho theme – I’ve decided – is a great theme for this milestone in any boy’s life. Do you agree? I know it’s not traditional but he’s allowing me to run with it – and I’m doing just that!
Myself and his dad are currently building a tree house in our garden – ready for the party – and I can’t wait to decorate it! I’ll share the pictures here next week..
In the meantime I hope you have a look at some of my ideas, and get inspired to have some fun with them! After all, we’re all here to inspire each other – and to have fun!
You can also view all my videos tutorials on my Ulla Lake YouTube channel
Lots of love and good energy ahead to you!
Ulla x

Ulla, your blog is beautiful! I came for the flower crown tutorials, I’m staying for the cute crafts I can do with my kids! I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of Tinkergarten, but they have similar nature inspired kids activities, I’m sure you’d love it!
